Apple is also introducing three new band styles: Solo Loop, Braided Solo Loop, and Leather Link. The Solo Loop and Braided Solo Loop watch bands have no clasp or buckle. Apple will offer them in nine sizes so that everyone will find a size that fits them. They feature a smooth and silky finish. The Leather Link band wraps around the wrist elegantly to link to the other side with flexible moulded magnets.
For its part, Apple claims their watches are unisex, but their bands certainly have target markets in mind. For example, the Leather Loop band, which looks rugged yet refined, will only fit the 42-mm Apple Watch. And the Modern Buckle, with its elegant, subtle styling, is only available on the 38-mm version.
The 40mm Apple Watch bands. The 40mm Apple Watch is the standard version for series 4, 5, and 6, as well as the SE series.
Apple Watch Series 4, Series 5, and Series 6 come in the 40mm and 44mm case sizes, so they are the same. As long as you get the same size for the new Apple Watch, then the existing bands you have should fit without issue.
Change the color and look of your Apple Watch by swapping bands and adding layered bracelets. Whether you prefer dainty feminine layers, chunky larger pieces or your heirloom jewelry, you will be creating a statement that is uniquely you. It can be styled to suit any mood.
If you want to buy an extra band for the Apple Watch, you may have to pay handsomely for it. Pricing for Apple's watch bands starts at $49 for its synthetic rubber bands and runs up to $449 for the link bracelet. All bands cost the same regardless of which model — 38mm or 42mm — watch they're made for or what size they're available in.
